Impact Harrisburg assisted TCHDC in its aggressive revitalization effort, targeted at the MulDer Square area of the City of Harrisburg. More specifically, the Impact Harrisburg grant helped TCHDC with its mixed-use endeavors on Hummel Street, funding the rehabilitation of two vacant and blighted properties—converting them into attractive single family residences for two new homeowning families. The rehabilitation of these two homes by TCHDC has been and will be augmented by other rehabilitation activities on the 200 block of Hummel Street, including demolition of blighted properties, additional rehabilitation of vacant homes, and the new construction of 6 new townhomes (planned for 2020).
