This ambitious project undertaken by TLC has made a substantial improvement to this Uptown Harrisburg neighborhood. After taking ownership of the long vacant Hamilton Health building, TLC planned a two-phased redevelopment project. Phase I was the renovation of the building itself—and the conversion of space to be used for non-profit educational, supportive service and conventional office uses. The results were spectacular. Phase II was the new construction of an affordable housing project for veterans—built on the blighted parking lot which has long been blighted. This new building, with the housing and services it provides to veterans, is a superb complement to the project.
